Why a list is short or empty
Abroadocs never pads a list. Fewer than five means fewer passed the checks.
Updated 17 October 2026
Abroadocs shows up to five providers per service — a limit, not a target. It never pads the list with providers that didn't pass its checks.
A short or empty list usually means:
- Few businesses in that country publish an email address on their own website. This is the most common reason.
- Their websites didn't load, or didn't describe the service you need.
- For sworn translation, few translators said on their own website that they are sworn.
- The service has to be done in one country, and few providers there came up.
When fewer than three providers are found, open Why the list is short under the results to see how many businesses were left out, and for which reasons.
What you can do: check the details the search used, loosen anything you can (would digital delivery do?), and search again. Or start with the providers you have — one good provider is often enough.
