How it works
How a request works, step by step
Describe the job, check what Abroadocs will search for, wait a minute or two, then email the providers you like.

- Describe the job. Start a new request and write what you need, the way you would to a colleague — for example: "We need a certified English translation of a Brazilian birth certificate for a visa application in Portugal."
- Abroadocs reads it and replies, usually within a few seconds. If a search can't run yet — the country a document comes from, say, or the languages of a translation — Abroadocs asks for that first. Otherwise the search card comes with that first reply. Once, at the start, Abroadocs also asks a few optional things a provider will want to know before giving a price, such as whether you hold the original, your deadline and how many pages. Answer them for sharper quotes, say you are not sure, or skip them.
- Check what Abroadocs will search for. Under Abroadocs's reply, a card headed "What I'll search for" shows the services you asked for and the details each search will use. Anything Abroadocs assumed is marked as an assumption.
- Start the search. Press Find providers. If Abroadocs raised a caution you should read first, it is written under Abroadocs's message, and the button says Continue and find providers instead.
- Abroadocs searches and checks. This usually takes a minute or two. Abroadocs searches the web, then opens each candidate's own website to check it.
- Read your shortlist. Up to five providers for each service, with the contact details they publish, what Abroadocs checked, and what it could not confirm.
- Send your quote requests. Each provider comes with a drafted quote request. Copy it, or open it in your email app, and send it yourself.
- Record your choice, if you like — it is only a note for your own records.
