Quote requests
Asking providers for quotes — by us, from our own address, or by you from yours — choosing one, and what happens next.
- Asking providers for quotesPress Ask for quotes under a list and we write to the providers you tick, from our own address, without naming you. You see every draft first.
- What the provider seesA quote request from a named person at our address, describing the job — never who you are.
- Sending a quote requestCopy the drafted request, or open it in your email app, then send it yourself.
- Does Abroadocs contact providers?Only when you ask. Press Ask for quotes and we write to the providers you tick, from our own address, without naming you. Otherwise every message is yours.
- How I read a provider's replyEvery number I show comes with the provider's own words beside it; anything the provider did not say reads "Not stated".
- Reading the replies screenUnder each list you asked about: who was asked, who replied, who is still to answer, and each reply with the provider's own words under every number.
- Correcting what I readIf I misread a price, a turnaround or a validity, correct it on the card. Your correction is shown; what I read stays beside it.
- Recording which provider you choseOptional, and only a note for your records. It doesn't contact the provider or commit you to anything.
- After you send a quote requestFrom then on it's between you and the provider: price, terms, payment and delivery.
